For those interested in the era of samurai and history! You can find a life-size reconstruction of the Azuchi Castle in this park. You can experience ninja and courtesan performances, and there are several attractions available on site as well. You can enter the Azuchi Castle, whose sixth floor is designed to serve as an observatory. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere and the history of the Azuchi-Momoyama period!

Apart from the famous shrine, the Ise Shima area is also famous for pearl cultivation. This island houses a memorial hall for a famous Ise Shima pearl-cultivator, Mikimoto Kokichi. You can find information on the history and technicalities on pearls and their cultivation in English too, as well as purchase beautiful pearl jewellery in the museum shop, Pearl Plaza. You can also see “ama” (women pearl divers) harvesting oysters and other seafood hourly.

The shrine where Emperor Jimmu’s mother, the deity Ishigami is enshrined. This place is believed to have a very powerful spiritual value. It is said to grant the wishes of the women who visit the shrine in particular. It sells a special amulet, very popular among visitors. Athletes and entertainers also frequently pay visits to this place, as it is supposed to grant them good luck.

This aquarium is equipped with twelve different areas, which visitors can explore freely. You can familiarize yourself better with the sea creatures in this area. The aquarium holds several species that are unique to this place, for instance, it is the only aquarium in Japan that keeps dugongs. Visitors can also watch performances of walruses and sea lions.

For hundreds of years now it has remained customary for pilgrims to come here first before visiting the Ise Grand Shrine. It is believed that you can purify your body and soul with the seawater here. The site is also considered to bring good luck in matchmaking and marital harmony, thanks to the presence of famous Meoto Iwa, two sacred rocks submerged in the water, representing husband and wife. Nearby you will also find the Futami-Okitama Shrine, known for its frog motif – praying there surrounded by frog statues is supposed to make your wish come true. Some further walking away, there is also a museum, which in the old times used to be an inn for important visitors of the Ise Grand Shrine. Enjoy the view of the rias coastline of the Ago bay from the top of the mountain – an altitude of 203 metres. If the weather allows, it is also possible to have a fine view of the Mount Fuji from here. This place, as many others in the Ise and Shima areas, is also famous for pearl cultivation.

Visitors can enjoy surfing throughout the year at this beach. It is a shallow beach, covering around three kilometres. Chidorigahama Beach, Jiro Rokuro Beach, and Onza Shirahama Beach are also located near the hotel premises.

The Shima Nature School offers many hands-on experiences for those who love the outdoors. You can experience sea kayak touring, floating on sea in a water ball, touring around a lighthouse and exploring local landscapes. Cycling tours are also available for booking. Located near the "wedded rocks" Meoto Iwa, this aquarium offers several unique activities. The concept behind this place is “zero distance” and it is possible to touch walruses, sea lions, seals and other sea animals. Do not miss your chance to interact with interesting sea creatures!

Believed to be Japan’s most sacred shrines, the Outer and Inner Shrines of the Ise Jingu hold significant cultural importance. It enshrines Amaterasu, the sun goddess, whose descendants became members of the imperial line according to Japanese tradition. Both the Inner and the Outer shrines are completely rebuilt every twenty years, while completely keeping the original architecture. The Inner Shrine is called the Koutai Shrine, and the Outer Shrine hosts around 125 deities at various locations. It is said that everyone should visit the Ise Grand Shrine once in their lifetime. Representing one of the main pillars of the sources of Japanese tradition and culture, Ise Grand Shrine, and the sun goddess it houses is a must-visit.

This town is located just in front of the Ise Shrine. It reproduces the townscape of the Ise Road, as it used to look like during the Edo and Meiji periods. About fifty stores have been reconstructed to look like their traditional counterparts. It is possible to try the famous Ise Udon here, as well as try “akafuku,” a speciality sweet of the area. For those who appreciate sake, there is also a brewery located in this area. You can also find many souvenirs, and food special to the Ise area. Apart from shops, there are also many festivals held in this area and you can pay a visit to an experimental museum which aims to teach about Japanese mythology.

You can enjoy reconstructions of famous and historically significant Spanish buildings, a museum, try many different rides, and watch enchanting performances in the park.
